Very neat capture Jane. So are they still around? Doens't ever get cold down in AZ? A good framing and composition. The foliage compliments it well. Some fine detail in the feathers..as close as you can get.

We may have autumn colours and greens but you have the Hummingbirds, the Quails and the Roadrunner in your vicinity which I envy! Fine profile of this Hummer amongst the leaves. I wonder what species it is!

smart shot..with the bird static on the vegetation..speeds are then sensible to get a crisp shot
slightly noisy but what the heck 12x zooms arent prime lenses
i am going to take the plunge into the canon pool soon and the S5 will be my choice
mainly based on this shot

I wish I had some of these fantastic birds in my area but I guess for now I will have to make do with another lovely presentation from you Jane!..Lovely details but perhaps in my mind your focus has edged slightly more to the leaves just below the hummingbird..that said..thank you for sharing this wonderful bird as our winter approaches in the uk.

+++ Great definition and sharpness, the feathers are full of detail. Nice colours aswell. Perfectly composed with a good POV.
--- Slight OE in the BG but other than that... just perfect :)
