Technically, very nice. the composition might be more interesting if tie crop were not quite so tight. IMO, a little more space on the left side could be better.

Hi Cecilia,
this is sure an attractive woodpecker.I like the vermilion coloured head feathers and the pattern of his back.This bird has a body shape similar to my northern flicker photos.Woodpeckers are very important creatures because they groom trees of harmful insects and the holes they peck out are home to many other birds such as my favorite little bird-the black capped chickadee.This is a delight to see and thank you for giving us all a chance to see it.
