Hi Robin.
Lovely lighting and composition. He may be getting a little tattered but you have made him look great sitting up there with wings out.
The piece of grass poking out from the left is a bit distracting but you could photoshop that out maybe. This reminds us to always look in the view before taking the photo, can we get the image without the distraction, if not then how to bring the distraction into the image without it looking to bad.
You have used a great DOF to make him stand out, wonderful
