I know the feeling Scott, when presented with a marvelous sunset I reach for my camera and search franticly for a pleasant composition. In fact tomorrow I may post such a situation. Very good capture with clean compo and well handled exposure. The orange tones of this sunset are very nice. well done.

this sky is spectacular, great colors and the cloudformation is great. POV and timong are excellent just catching the sun before is sinks into the Ocean. Very nice depth and details.

What really stand out here is the thin line of the glowing warm light running above the horizon with the bright splash of sunlight peeking through on the 1/3 vertical axis. Above it are the dark threatening clouds and below it we find the dusky waters with just a delicate hint of reflection streaming over the surface.
Again your composition was well planned and executed having the triangular piece of beach cutting into the domain of the ocean at the 1/3 horizontal axis and ending almost on the 2/3 vertical axis.
The colours are great, the DOF carries well from the foreground unto eternity, and the exposure was well controlled with the 1/6s time exposure.

PS. The purists might hint at the fact that the horizon is 1mm lower on the right, but I won't mention it (chuckle).

what a wonderful sunset you caught there. I like the light catching the water's edge on the foreground. It works really well helping to bring some brightness into the lower half of the picture.

Scott, the colours of the sunswet here are quite different from normal - the Tropical Storm Alberto has a lot to be thanked for! Pretty pink and orange. And seeing the sun setting over the land is good too. Well done,

Everybody has their favorite part of this picture and I have to say I enjoy the sun highlighting the clouds on the upper portion of this image. I like the small wave tops and the reflection as well. The flare of the sun is nice and not blown out which is difficult when your photographing the hardest subject to photograph (the sun). Nice work, great composition.

Very nice, I like the way you've got the sun just slippin' under the heavy clouds at the horizon..I like the comp. with the sand FG left "anchoring" the shot :)

PS - This sunset, sunrise thing is a difficult proposition..I tried a few on the trip..I'll send ya one..maybe you can give me some suggestions on how to save it ;)

Great sky, beautiful clouds, I love the way they seem to roll up from the horizon, very dramatic. Nicely framed/composed, I'm just learning about landscape shots so this is good for me to see how you more experienced guys approach this. Great exposure, the foreground is perfect. Hi Scott,
This one almost gives the idea that the horizon is on fire. The intens color of the sunset is really beautiful and I like the way you've composed it. With a small part of the beach in the f/g and the sun beautifully positioned on the left. I really like the lower band of color and then the return of the color in some parts of the clouds.
