[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A little sanderling from the beaches of Georgia, USA. These guys always remind me of The monty python movie, the quest for the holy grail. They are always chasing after a wave, but the moment a new wave comes in they scatter and run to dry parts. Using this it is quite easy to lay on the sand and wait until one is not paying attention to you and runs close. The trick is to get focused quickly enough. The same as yesterdays gull i was flat on the sand getting a low POV

Hi Jeroen. A good POV it is . It must have been worth getting wet for. You have been able to get good feather detail with natural colours. I like the way the rest of the shot is out of focus. well done TFs.

Weer een meesterwerkje. Prachtig is dat toch om hem van zo'n laag standpunt te fotograferen. Dit is trouwens wel een mooi licht exemplaar. Uitstekende scherpte en fantastische kleuren. Leuk oogcontact.

Hello Jeroen,
A very fine close-up of a Sanderling, the low POV, pose and sharpness being first class. The DOF is just right to produce a fine neutral BG. These are tricky to photograph!
