| Taken on a late fall ,overcast day. The obscured sunlight was directly behind the tree causing the background to be hazy. I was standing on a highway guardrail post holding the camera as high above my head as I could reach. |

Firstly, welcome to Treknature! Yes, the background is a little distracting but nevertheless you have captured some very interesting features on this tree. It is sharp and well focused. The different textures and colours are quite unusual and interesting. Congratulations on taking such a good picture so high above your head! I've done a workshop (my first time to be honest!), let me know what you think. Well done on your first post and Merry Christmas.
