[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this from my archives.

This was shot with slide film and digitally scanned for Photoshop.

Canon EOS 3
28-70mm (set at 60mm)
Bogen Tripod

This is a small section of the old Mississippi River that was eventually detoured from this small town in LA. I thought the boat dock gave it a much needed foreground.

Digitally Scanned
Cropped
Levels to lighten it alittle
Unsharp Mask
Framed

Hello Tabatha

It is like the sky is on fire. The reflections are amazing.I like the flow of the clouds and how they meet the water at the left horizon. The silhouette of the wooden structure adds a nice balance.Great job.TFS

Rob

nice shot good composition. i think it has a green cast. look at the workshop.

Hi Tabatha!
I am very attached to my old pictures of the photo film/slides era and look at them from time to time.
This apprently is not the scan of a very old slide and looks as good as digital.
It is a very fine composition with lively colors and the boat dock adds a nice touch to the composition as a whole.
Thanks and take care.
Ram

amazing sunset

Of all the many beautiful sunsets that you have posted so far, Tabatha, this one is my favourite. The composition is great with the boat dock providing an interesting element as well as support. The sky and its reflection are wonderful. And your title is well chosen. You are definitely taking advantage of your travels for work. Happy 2007!

Daniel
