[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here's another one where I was testing my "zoom" capabilities on my camera.

I cropped it a little, but think I could have changed the pov a little more than I did..

Jeanine,
You are on the right track as far as composing your shots. The closeup of the plant with the soft blurred back ground draws your attention to the subject.
I like the rich green colours contrasting to the soft grey, brown and off white colours of the back ground.
I would like to suggest you try and sharpen up just a tad though. I know that no matter how sharp my photos seem to look at home I still have to sharpen them up even more before posting them to the site. They seem to lose some of their details through the uploading process.
Your dandeline photo in your gallery shows good creativity on your part, and this is what you need to compose great shots. TFS

Hi Jeanine,
Ron had great tips. I agree that the background is in the right direction. It gives the contrast needed to make the subject pop out.
TFS,

Hi Jeanine
You already have some good suggestions offered by others, may I add another...when uploading images remember that you can upload up to a 200kb file, measuring 800 pixels. Depending on what software you use when you edit your photos, it should allow you to adjust these settings. The larger the file size, generally the more (finer) detail you will preserve in the final uploaded image. Good luck and keep enjoying the art.
