At the beach below the Bull Sluice rapid on the Chattooga River, you'll find this tree.
The edge of the river is just to the right. Over the years, fluctuating river levels have washed the sand out from under this pine. Amazingly it survives resting on these rocks and dipping it's roots into the high water table.
