[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This tributary is fed by the Grotto Falls, located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, on the outskirts of Gatlinburg, TN.
I took my family there yesterday for a hike to get away from the house. Along the trail there are dozens of these small river falls, however most of the time you are from 20 to 120+ feet above them and cannot get to them without risking life and limb. This one just happened to be near the top of the falls and close enough for me to climb down to with only a small amount of risk.

pp work: increased saturation slightly, adjusted gamma x 2, framed and resized.

Very nice capture, love the smokey effect of the water.

Wow, another lovely picture. Again, the algae is making it look really interesting. I see you have a thing for this shutter effect. Real nice. :)

I can't get enough of these slow-shutterspeed riverpictures. I do think the whites are a little bit overexposed in this one, but nothing serious. Composition and POV are excellent. You live in a fantastic place James. Well done & TFS!

I feel like I am peeping in on a secret scene from Lord of the Rings here. Half expecting to see faries or pixies or even a deer.

Great shot and very nicely exposed. the whites seem fine on my screen. I really like the diagonal effect here.
