| "Snow On The Mountain" is a Euphorbia bicolor,Spurge Family - Euphoriaceae. A Texas wildflower that from a distance look like spots of melting snow(In August?). Bloom period July - November. I spotted this cluster of blooms on a high bluff overlooking the Medina River in Central Texas. |

Somehow the guys miss the flowers on this site and do not comment on them. Somehow we tend to overlook the plants and flowers and forget to capture them on film/flashcard. I have quite a few tiny little plants I need to post and looking at your post reminded me to do so. This is a beutiful flower and the name is appropriate as well. Besides the beauty of this wildflower, the DOF, color and composition is excellent!

Not seen a plant like this before, lovely composition and good choice of exposure. Good work.
Wonderful shot, Howard - agree with Japie that sometimes plant shots don't seem to get all the attention they deserve. In any case this is a beautiful and crisp one, in which the euphorbia fills the frame really well and makes a delightful pattern. Good use of DOF, too, well done.
Nice one Howard. You handled the whites very well. Such a plain yet very lovely plant. Nice compo the plants fits it well. Great shot.
