[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Cardinalis cardinalis_ this female cardinal came up one day as I was sitting in a blind trying to get some nice shots of some bluejays. Didn't get the jays but she sit there looking at me for a good ten minutes so I was able to get some of her. Good trade I guess.

Cardinals are 7.75 in.
Large conical bill, crest and a long tail.
They nest low to the ground.
They can have 2,3 occasionally 4 broods a year w/
incubation 12-13 days.

Une très belle composition,la pose de l'oiseau est superbe et les couleurs sont justes et réelles. Par contre un légé flou dans l'image.

Great POV of this lady cardinal. She has a coy pose, with her head tilted just so. Nice catchlight in the eye and sharp details on the feathers. Beautiful subtle colors. TFS. : )

This shot is very slightly soft, looks like camera shake. I'm guessing you shot it with the 100-400? At 400mm, it has a the FOV of 640mm lens so even with IS, you can get camera shake at 1/125.

Other than the shake, a great shot - excellent composition, POV and the bokeh in the background is just super-creamy.
