hi Ken,
very nice macro shot with great details and a pure and grafic compo. I like natural colors.
Almost completed, because there is a halo around the beautiful, the neatness was too much pushed.

have a nice day my friend.

Now this is close for a tiny insect, and non macro. Not sure if you had a tripod, but it is certainly clear and focused.
The jpg artifact is quite present with your small file size though.
The compo is outstanding.

Hello Ken,
You've really done a fine job here in the capture of a Blue-ringed Dancer. The sharpness and BBG are excellent and so it the composition on the stick that it is resting on.
Nice to view!

hi ken,
fantastic straight pose of the dancer.
outstanding sharpness with interesting details.
i love these blue colours and the easy yet very excellent composition.

Hello Ken,

Another great picture of a metallic dancer. It looks like a nano-robot to me (chuckle). Small and sophisticated.

Composition:

This is an astonishing composition! Clean simple and efficient! I like the way the lines of the branch and subject's body lead the eye to the hotspot where the face of the dancer is. It's also interesting to see how level the insect holds its body, perfectly horizontal. The plain background isolates the Blue-ringed Dancer perfectly. Well done!

Colors:

This time the color tones are as cold as steel. They go well with the metallic glow of the insect's body. The background does not add warmth as it is neutral. I find this combination appropriate for this kind of shots.

Contrast:

Excellent contrast! Well adjusted to emphasize the sophisticated details!

Exposure:

Exposure was well handled and preserved the details throughout the picture. Great idea to stop down to f/8 in order to maximize DOF. The ISO 400 noise level is not visible to me.

Focus:

The accurate focus on the subject created sharp details and isolated it from the background via a great control of DOF.

As I said, this is a great picture from you with well written notes. Thank you!

With Friendly Regards,
Eddie

PS: I've done the promised workshop on your previous post "Black & Yellow Argiope". I hope you find it useful!

hi ken!
very good macro with great sharpness
and nice pov and dof!
very good!

Beautiful colour and background. The composition is also very good.

Me gusta la elegancia y armonía de colores azules, negros y fondo gris de ligero tinte azulado, bonitos brillos sobre el cuerpo y una composición interesante con el cuerpo en horizontal sobre una rama en diagonal.

Nice shot Ken. Good off focus background.
Julian

Hello Ken. Super shot at this damsel. I like the Olympic style perch in stunning sharpness and clarity. The background is completely silenced and very pleasant indeed. Best regards. Jusni
