Hi Angelina,
a nice picture with good POV and compostion, the colours are nict too.
But the picture is to bright amd the right wing OE, so the details are lost.

What a beauiful picture ! Excellent composition and POV, nice colors, maybe some parts are slightly over-exposed but not a big problem for me. There are also some noce details on he buttefly. I love your nte, it's really well written and I will remember it the next time I'll see a butterfly. This Butterfly House must be a fantastic place to visit, you are so lucky !

Well if this isn't a summery image I don't know what is. The colours here are awesome! The cream coloured butterfly feeding on the purple flower is beautiful...I can see why it could make you cry :)

Wow what wonderful contrast! This is a good combination of colors and still treats the butterfly as you do in so many of your pictures... as if you could almost see it's aura!

Beautiful image and colors. It is slightly off focus in the eye area and a little overexposed, true. But it still is a beaut. Nice words on top of it, too!

Another beauty. Nice of this butterfly to settle in those beautiful lavendar flowers. The combination is gorgeous.

You mentioned fireflies. I haven't seen one since I left the east coast ten years ago. Wonder why there are none in Arizona?

Purple and white are my favorite color combinations right behind burgundy and white...The butterfly contrasts nicely with the colorful surroundings...Looks like it could use a little of your wing repair expertise...A very nice capture of a lovely subject..."And God created woman from a blueprint borrowed from Satan" ;-)

Hi Angy,
A very nice note. I know what you mean. Back in May I was walking along a horse trail in a heavily wooded area and then suddenly came to an open meadow full of wildflowers at their peak. Butterflies were everywhere. The feeling was a bit overwhelming. I immediately thought of my mom who passed away two years ago. Somehow I felt like she was making this moment possible for me in conjunction with a higher power.
This is a beautiful butterfly surrounded by a beautiful deep purple flower. Nice detail, especially eye and antenna. When the antenna is a heavy line, but not jagged, you know you did a good job with focus. Interesting turquoise tip on antenna. The white of the outside wing is a bit overexposed, but it does not detract from the overall beauty of the shot.
I have a feeling we will be seeing more butterflies in the days ahead. I am looking forward to it.

Very good exposure and colors, they work well together. Good POV, although a more parallel plane of focus would be better @ F/4.5 IMHO.

What a great note - the anecdote is wonderful. You have captured a treat, yes, and the exposure is nice. I can see all the detail in the white wings. The aqua tips on those antennae are just icing on the cake. Hope you don't mind my including a tiny thumbnail of the shot in my blog entry about it and the quote.
