You seem to have adapted well to your gear Angy. There is a slightly different quality, which makes this image a bit more complex. I can see the natural bird well and yet you also saw the nicely composed patterns in the perch. And of course your title so apt for the capture. Nice to see you post. I am vacationing today for the first time in ages...so I get to go and critique without having to use all my smileys for "paybacks". Don't want to end up on the convention floor:-)

Hi Angy,
So nice to meet Senor Rojas' better half. I love her pose - I think she's afraid she's missing something. Beautiful details and colors of her wings, feathers and beak. I looked out of the window yesterday and saw a male Cardinal feeding an adult female. Didn't know that was something they did. Of course by the time I got my camera they were gone.

Great shot Angelina of this female Cardinal.
It's funny that you captured one that has a bald head because my daughter has a male with the same hair style.
My daughter lives in Nashville and called me about a cardinal that was visiting her feeder but didn't have any feathers on it's head.
I checked it out online and found out that it happens occasionally, and there is no real known reason for it. Wonderful notes! TFS.

Hello Angelina,
This poor Mum looks really worn, it looks like her eye on the left is damaged too. Nevertheless you've captured her in a fine pose and details are sharp and the colours beautiful. Very well composed too.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Have to laugh at your comment.
Yes I guess birds have bad hair days too.
I imagine soon you will be able to photograph some little ones if you end up seeing them.
Hope so!

Hi Angelina,
A lovely capture of this beautiful cardinal bird. Very good details and composition. I think she is a bit like a careless kid. I know you must have pronounced "say cheese" but she did not care a bit. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Nice look at the female Cardinal. I love the soft colors and her pose. The DOF is outstanding. Nice detail also.
Hello Lady,
This Senora looks as curious as I am right now about your disappearing act:)
Nice warm lighting showing the chaffinch in its habitat.Good colours and contrasts and effective lighting. The lady seems to have really lost out a lot of her locks on her head...that is a nice shot showing details like this which are not frequently noticed on a usual PoV.
TFS & Cheers
P.S:How re you doing...seems quite busy..??

Love the title - and you said my captions rank right up there? You're right behind me, girl! I love the colors here, the POV, and the sharpness. The DOF is also great because he's in his natural element and the background is soft - excellent. By the way, what was down there??? Hehehehehe
