Hi John
Nice POV showing rich colors and fine detail...TFS

Hi John, Love the detail on this beautiful butterfly, it's a little soft in the key areas of the subject. At 400 of a sec this should of came in clear even if handheld , it also looks like you used a shoe mounted flash on top of the camera according to the shadow cast so I'm gonna guess that you were a tad bit to close for the minimal focal range which would create the out of focas results? Also bring your flash down a couple of steps for exposure compensation to avoid a washout effect in the colors and contrast levels. I also want to add the lighter colors on the petals of the flower are more suseptable to a washout effect, by bringing the flash stops down it will help with the exposure immensily. It's still a lovely composition and I like how you angled the butterfly.
Paul :)

Hello John,
indeed, this is a Buckeye, Precis coenia.
Point of view, colours and exposure are pretty good.
However, the butterfly is slightly out of focus!
Best wishes, Peter

Muito bonita a foto!

A fine specimen indeed John, captured with a pleasant soft-focus effect under ideal illumination. Good, frame filling composition.
