[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While waiting for my mother at an appointment, I wandered outside and there were butterfly bushes. They were swarming with butterflies, bees, moths.... I took 77 shots and this was one of my favorites. Cropped, sharpened and resized for posting.

Salut Shelly
Magnifique photo que ces deux jolis papillons.J'aime beaucoup tous les détails et les belles couleurs .
Belle présentation et très beau back ground
Merci pour le partage et au revoir....JP

Hi Shelly,
I love the colours in this shot but find to many distracting elements so I've played around in a Workshop and wonder what you think? (Now I think I prefer the one Sky has done!!)
TFS, Ulla

Hello Shelly,
how lucky to catch two on one branch. You did well on the composition, POV sharpness and colors are good. I did a work shop using a different crop and presentation.
Hope you don't mind.

Hello Shelly,

What a great moment these two lovers share! And how lucky you were to capture it! It seems it was worth the waiting if this is the result! As far as I know these guys are monarch butterflies, or maybe I'm wrong. However they don't live in my area. Maybe someone else is able to identify them correctly.
First of all, the quality of the shot is exceptional. It would probably have looked better if you cropped the plant from the left and the one from the right and framed it vertically but I like it this way too. The colors are brilliant and the details are great and sharp. The subjects stand out from the soft background due to the large (f/4.5) aperture. Very well done here!
The exposure is also good and focus is accurate! Some notes would be helpful, just to learn more about these beauties and the shooting conditions. Great work! Thanks!

With Friendly Regards,
Eddie
