The common fly, Musca domestica is one of the most common of all insects. It is worldwide in distribution and is a pest in homes, barns, poultry houses, food processing plants, dairies, and recreation areas. It has a tremendous breeding potential and during the warmer months can produce a generation in less than two weeks. In many areas of Florida the house fly breeds continually throughout the year.

Great clarity and sharpness. Did you use a macro flash? I see some kind of reflection in the eye. I'm trying capture pictures of this quality but not successful yet. Any advice/tips would be useful.

superbe macro, cette mouche nous livre tous ces détails. l'image est agréable notamment grâce à ces couleurs pastel, et un pov rasant bien trouvé.

Wow!! What an incredible image Bill,
Very sharp with excellent lighting and exposure. Perfect DOF, hard to believe you could get such a detailed image while only shooting at F/8. Great job!!
