[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A lovely place on earth, this is 40 + miles north of Anchorage Alaska. It is Anchorage's water supply, all Glacier and snow melt.
The trail to the Glacier is perhaps 15 miles. There are Dall Sheep in the hills and Black bears, Grizzly Bears and Moose live here.

The Glacier that feeds the lake is a Short but Difficult path over the Cugach Mountians to Prince William Sound.

A lovely day the temp was 65 F, but I always carry a warm waterproof jacket .. It can rain and be 45 in a matter of mins.

IT is what you picture when you think of Alaska.

enjoy

Scott

Hi Scott
Beautiful capture with good composition and very nice depth created by the tree in the foreground and the shore line. Excellent POV and a lovely scenery.

Hola Scott,
Precioso paisaje de alta montaņa,excelentes colores y encuadre muy bueno... saludos

Let's see...I'll get my compass and ruler and level and see if this is straight!!!! Just kidding! : ) Looks good to me. What is the name of the mountain??? I should know. I lived in Palmer for a year...50 miles north of Anchorage! Yes that is some beautiful country and you captured it well here. Nice tonal range and color saturation too.

Thanks for sharing

Evelynn : )

Scott.- Sin duda alguna esta es una hermosa postal, algo muy bello debe ser por esos lugares, creo que se respira aire limpio y muy puro. Saludos Luis52.

Hi Scott,
The clarity in this photo is superb. I can look so far into the distance, and still see amazing details. Perfect composition with part of the tree for extra depth.
TFS,
Niek

looks straight to me. The only thing missing from this wonderful picture is a sense of scale.

How big is the mountain or how far away was it? Never having been, I can't establish this from the picture.

Hi, Scott.
Nice view! Great depth and good exposure. Beautiful colors.

Hi Scott,
That is just some amazingly beautiful scenery! Perfect composition and framing on this shot. Intense colors from the nice clean air and spot on exposure. AWESOME!

Nice capture and composition. Good DOF. Nice soft coulors. The only comment is the trees on the left side corner that is a bit distracting since it is secondary in the picture.
Would realy like to go in Alaska one day !

PC :)

Hi Scott,
A beautiful lake in early summer, framed by some majestic mountains!
Pleasant composition, the tree provides a sense of depth...
The snow at this time of year tells about a real Northern location!
Greetings,
