[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Mother harbor seal and pup in Glacier Bay National Park. It is near the end of the pupping season. The photo was taken from the deck of a cruise ship, of all places (the "Ryndam," if you must know). Of several shots, this was the only one with both seals looking at the camera.

Hello Christopher,
What a cute mother and child pair.
Fantastic eye contact and good composition.
The focus is a tad soft, which is understandable with photo being taken from the cruise ship), but the exposure is very good.
TFS. : )

This is nice Christopher. It is wonderfully simple and has the impact of the mother and pup, the ice, the stare at you. All that gives the image some drama. I thought the image would sharpen up nicely as proven by Selen in her workshop. exposure is excellent.

Hi Christopher,
Lovely photo, the pose you caught is so natural and they look very cute. I liked the composition and your POV.
I posted a workshop hope you like it. TFS

Nice capture, and also, I love the way both seals are watching you. The pup won't venture too far away, but there's something about that pup that says if too scared, he'll lumber back to the safety of his mama. Nice clear detail. Thanks for sharing.
