[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was hanging out in front of the bird feeders at my work place (a non-proft bird observatory) with my camera this morning trying to get a few images of the few species of birds that can survive a Fairbanks winter. This Hoary Redpoll can be distinguished from its more common relative the Common Redpoll. The Hoary is generally paler in color and has a short stubby bill. Even with these characteristics it is a very tricky call and it is impossible to be sure without having the bird in the hand to take detailed measurements.

Nice shot of this beautifull small bird.
Excellent light and spark on the eye.

Hi David

I like the inquisitive pose from your lovely model. The head tilt is delightful! Very nice camera work. :-)
