[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I had never heard of Antelope Canyon until I became a member of TrekEarth. It's located in north-central Arizona near the town of Page. A guided tour is the most common way of gaining access to the area and if you are an avid photographer I strongly urge you go to this place.

A lot of photos I've found of Antelope Canyon were taken durning the summer when sunlight creates incredible shafts of light that shine among the sandstone rock formations. However, I was there in December which made for more subdued lighting.....and fewer people! Our guide told our group that in the summer it's really a challenge for serious photographers due to the massive number of people walking around in there.

Dust is a huge problem here as well. Whenever I was not composing a photo I was protecting my camera inside my coat until the dust settled. If you go make sure you are prepared for a lot of dust.

Fantastic shot Gregory,
The lines, colors, textures and lighting is amazingly beautiful, I have never heard of this place before.
I'm going out to Phoenix in a few weeks to visit my daughter so I'll have to check out how far this place is from there home. Well done!! and TFS.

Hello Gregory,
I am a big fan of red rock country after a couple of visits several years ago. Would like to get back and shoot some of these incredibly beautiful formations. You handled the light and compo very well. Thanks for the heads up about the dust.
Regards,
Greg

Hi Gregory,
A perfect exposure, capturing every subtle hue in this amazing environment.
It reminds me of passages in caves I've explored here in New Zealand.
Just beautiful.
Cheers
Steve
