Hello Jane,
A delightful composition withthe framing of the oak leaves, the blue sky Bg and the POV make this an attractive capture of a male House Finch. The lighting and catch light in the eye add to the appeal.
I guess what you describe as cool is still a hot summer for usin the north. Today it has been sunny with a temp of about 56 F!
