Wonderful capture Jane....You have this one down pat. My mother didn't like them after 70 years of being awoken in the AM, but in her early years she loved them...as I still do...My mother and father, especially dad in our camping trips,,,,, they were my start...I only child and they took me into all parts of nature... You can see me rowing a canoe with my father by clicking on that one....That was ages ago...and I was young, tall and skinny going down for a 3 day trip to the lake from the middle of Michigan...quite the ride..

Blue skys and a gorgeous dove..What more could I ask for in a post after a week of leaden skys in the UK!!....Super sharp details and I love the blue eye make up this Dove sports.

Dear Jane,
A really wonderful capture of the white winged dove.They must be really big, for you have got a really good shot with great detils. That red coloured eye looks like a ruby tucked in, with all that sunlight getting filtered through it.Despite quite the good amount of natural light, you manged a fine exposure and the grey on the wings beautifully got highlighted.The perch of green adds to the composition and the true blue sky once again leaving your signature on this nicely composed shot.

Jane, I must admit that you have shown remarkable improvement in handling your equipment. I see you are using a tele-converter and how!
The eye of this Dove is so sharp and colourful it looks like a jewel. The generally grey bird stands apart on account of its blue-ringed yellow eye.

A beautiful portrait of a White-winged Dove. The lighting is superb and well managed and this sharp and set in a fine composition with the branch that it is perched on.
We are having a drought with blue skies like this every day: not a cloud in the sky! I'm beginning to realise the dark side of a blue sky becuse we desperately need rain.

Beautiful Dove. I love this species of birds, becouse they are so kind with me. The pose and blue sky are just amazing.

Very soon I will post one of them and guess what? She was nesting in a empy flower vase!
in My brother-in-law house, No to high from the floor, very very close(Only 5ft.) from were we were having a dinner and stay there the hole afternoon, Never got scared or going away during this time.
