Wow, wonderful subject, and a really amazing sky, Tim. The B&W is wonderful, too. I like the use of fg, mg, and bg, but I think my personal taste would be for a bit closer to the Joshua Tree so it was fg, though. I bet you have a couple of those shots, too.

Hi Tim,
it's an impressive shot - I like the choice of b/w very much here - so the sky seems to be very "angry" and the single cactus is beautiful here. Thanks and greetings

Hi Tim,
the conversion to B&W works well in this photo as it gives a sense of timelessness to the image. It looks somewhat surreal as a result and that is something I like as it reminds me of a Dali painting ,especially the sky and the rounded mounds in the foreground.Good details and focus work well with this one and the tree is interesting and the pyramid like hills on the horizon as well. Tfs. Bob

WOW! OK I saw the other one first. Apply all of the other notes on Joshua Tree to this one...

G'day Tim.
Great dramatic sky. Good idea to convert to B&W. Works very well in a desert scene. Good composition. Well done.
Regards, Steve.
