[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another Barker Dam Black and White with a simpler composition. I posted a very similar colour version of this image sometime ago here on TN. I wished that I could have spent alot more time at this place than just the 45 minutes or so that I was there, but I was part of a group who weren't quite as passionate about the whole photography thing.

Hi Tim,
Impressive black and white through this wideangle effect.
Good contrast.
Well done

This is a VERY nice job for RGB converted to color. I may have to check lightroom out. Very nicely composed, lovely reflections.

Hi Tim,
This is very impressive!
I like so much the high range of the tones got.
You had a great light and took really a good advantage of it.
I found this is a wonderful composition.
Congratulations and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Aha. So now your black and white conversions become ....well...perhaps a bit more expensive seeing as I do not have this software. A new piece of software is what kept my software and computer store in business many years ago on the Mendocino Coast. I am no longer in business of course and on a tight budget...and worst perhaps of all, over the years I have discarded some things which I thought would never be of value....alas..
Thank you so much for sharing both your wonderful conversions and your beautiful pictures.

Wonderful series you have going here.
I'm trying to verbalize exactly what I like about these...
it's the contrasts for one thing...the harsh lines of the stones against the smooth sky and glassy water.
There's a yin/yang thing going on...and the B&W reinforces that feeling. Of course, that's just my opinion. ha ha

Hi Tim,
this photo is superb and like your note says it is too bad you couldn't spend more time taking photos as your shots of this area are first rate. This image in B&W looks excellent and probably better than how it looks in colour.A nice simple subject with excellent details with great clear focus.Tfs. Bob
