Hi Tim,

I like composition of this one more than the previous one. The trees are closer to the FG and you have this same rock formation in the BG with this trail that we see much better leading the way. Nice warm tones.
To bad for the DOF that could have been a bit better if taken at f/16 for example. I am in fact suprised with this result at f/4.5 !!!

Excellent shot Tim, these Joshua Trees look amazing and in this setting the scene is stunning. I would raise levels in this though. Very good work.

I do like your composition Tim. You got a lot of nice shots on that trip. We almost decided to go there after seeing your images. It is a bit of a drive though so it will have to wait for a while. I like the sky and the lighting although it looks like it is just a little over filtered??? in pp?? I feel like I want to brighten it up a little.

Hi Tim,
That sly is really impressive and helps out the bring the overall brown landscape perfectly. Great to see the dead tree standing next to one of its ofspring. The sunlight really created the beauty here. Just a pitty about the wide aperture, it did cost you some details.

Yes, I agree! It is a very surreal! The atmosphere in the picture is very dreamlike. The light and the clouds make it "something else". Very good composition and exposure. A great shot, Tim!
