| This shot is taken at a lagoon at Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz. There were a number of feeding water birds there, including this Snowy Egret, a Little Egret and a Great Blue Heron. In addition to the 500mm lens, I also used a 1.4 TC by Kenko. |

A little hot spot in the head, but overall, I like the composition. The eye is clear, his pose is great, and I'm reminded of the group twisted sister with his pose...

Hello Darrin,
The portret of this nice bird looks well. I like the pose of the bird showing nicely the fine feathers from the back. Lite was good and image sharp so that good details of the bird can be seen. It may be croped a liitel to tight but this is a matter of taste.
Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hi Darrin,
Very good pose and feather detail on the body. Good OOF background. To get rid of the hot spot on the head and neck with a white bird underexpose by about 2/3 of a stop or even a full stop.
