| While in Yosemite my Mom and I discovered a new Spectator Sport... With Binoculars in hand, picnic lunches and lawn chairs, we planted ourselves in the middle of a meadow and tracked to progress of the more than 18 climbers on El Capitan. We had silly name like the Bag Crew, Yellow Crew, Golden Arches... always for us to know which team of climbers we were watching or focusing on. It was quite exilerating watching these people swing, jump and set up camp all while several hundred feet a sheer cliff. we didn't even need to climb to feel the adreniline... I'm afraid of heights so you'll NEVER see me do somthing so risky. Cheers to All the climbers of El Capitan! |

Hi Sequoia,
Beautifull capture.
Fine vertical composition.
EXCELLENT.

great shot, nice composition and I love the B&W, too bad there weren't low clouds for this shot to make it much more dramatic. I have a photo of Ansel Adams of El Capitan I assume from the same area with similar tree framing, but with fog instead, it is quite the dramatic photo. Of course if there was fog when you took this, you wouldn't be able to see the climbers ;-)
Hi Sequoia,
Great idea to make this a B&W photo. It makes a automatic remark to the great master Ansel Adams. POV and framing of the photo is wonderful. The slight pink hue is a bit too much to me.

Niek
P.S. a bit more critique action aint a crime.
Hi Sequioia,
El Capitan is a great landmark in Yosemite national park which picture could easily found elsewhere, but you make a really unique picture from the different angle of view. The black and white presentation make it more artistic and highlight the relief of the wall
