Swainson's Hawk

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I can't describe how weird it is to pick up my camera again after about 3 months off. I almost forgot how to set my aperture/shutter speeds, etc. It's been a long hiatus, but now that we're all settled in our new home in Colorado, I hope to not only get my prior skills back, but to really start improving!!
Out here in our new digs, it really pays to carry a camera at all times! This hawk was seen as we were driving to the furniture store to find a couch! When it landed, my husband and I both mistook it for a falcon! It really is a most beautiful hawk, and we didn't have them in California - so what a wonderful surprise and new addition to my list of birds.
Enjoy! |

Hi Penny
A fine shot of this well coloured hawk. He stands out well against that lovely blue sky. Good sharpness and composition.
Chris
Hi Penny, A very fine photo of this magnificent bird. Maybe it could do with one point of extra sharpening so more details are visible in the feathers. The blue skies as backdrop is the best possible. TFS. Murray.
PS I might try a WS and add sharpness using photofiltre
Hello Penny,
Great POV & details of the bird of prey. TFS.
