I am back after a layoff from the internet and even civilization.
This photo was of Alpine Gold on top of Guanella Pass south of Georgetown, Colorado
I don't know much about Alpine Gold and when looking it up on Wikipedia I get nothing.
All I do know is that it is a sunflower like plant and this one like several others in the area were found above treeline at 11,600 feet which is the summit of Guanella Pass, a historic and scenic byway that takes people from Georgetown to Grant about 26 miles south |
