In the same field that I shot the grackle in my last post were a group of Canada Geese
(Branta canadensis). As I approached this one decided to get aggressive and hiss at me, so I took a couple of shots and left them alone to continue feeding.

The Canada Goose is found throughout North America, the breed in Canada through the summer and winter in southern United States. In the northern half of the USA the species may be present year round.

Hi Chris. We have some in the park and they can get very aggressive in the spring. i like the way you have taken this with its neck staight out. Dont often see the tongue. You have taken this with good detail and colour in the feathers. well done TFS.

Hello Chris.

Thank you for that lovely picture from a geese hissing.

The composition of the picture is very nice. I particularly appreciate the horizontal composition, quasi panoramic. It reflect very well the comportment of the bird as described by C. Lorentz.

The sharpness is very good all along the picture. The depth of field is correct, giving us many details. The colors and the contrast are realistic.

Fascinating picture of the wild life, full of movement. We hear the hissing of the geese :-).

Hope to see another time on treknature.

All the best.

Philippe.
