Une vue rapprochée d'une partie du Canyon Waimea, il est aussi nommé le Grand Canyon du Pacifique. La photo a été prise d'un des point d'observation le long du canyon lors d'une visite organisée d'une journée de Kauai. Un négatif endommagé Kodak 5025 qui a été numérisé avec un Minolta Dimage Scan Dual IV.

A close-up view of an area of the Waimea Canyon, it is also name the Pacific Grand Canyon. The photo was taken from one of the lookout point of the Canyon during a one day sightseeing tour of Kauai. A damaged Kodak 5025 negative which was scanned with a Minolta Dimage Scan Dual IV.

Bonjour Pierre,
Ce n'était pas en scène facile à exposer en raison de ces nuages, zones d'ombre et de lumière. J'aime bien le contraste, al prise de vue et composition même si je note une légère sur-exposition dans le blanc des nuages. Bien vu malgré ces difficultés!

I just cannot get over the immensity of this canyon...I thought the Islands was small. Apparently it is but only relative to the ocean, other islands and also belies the acreage taken up by the canyon. Simply amazing.

This is an impressive landscape, not immediately associated with Hawaii!
A pleasant composition with inclusion of the fine sky, a good feeling of depth...
