This was taken off the Grinnell Glacier Trail. We could not get any closer because the trail was blocked by snow but we had such fun watching this grizzly sow and her yearling cub play on this snowbank. They played for at least a half an hour... climbing up and sliding down. We hiked the same trail two days later with better equipment on the off chance we would see bears again; but alas... no bears... and not even any snowbank. It had melted away.

Hi Evelynn,
this is an interesting sequence of photos that you share today.I think it is a great thing that even bears like to have fun in their way and your group of six photos show that very well.It is all right that you didn't get any closer as that may of inhibited their fun and maybe your own as well.An interesting group of shots and well photoed by you. Thanks for sharing an aspect of the bears lives I had not previously given any real thought too. Bob

Hi Evelynn,
Very nice capture! Nice idea to make this composition with 6 shots. Well done!
I think I will by also the same lens 70-300 which seems excellent for birds and animals shots.
Best regards,
Catherine

Hello Evelynn,
This is a wonderful montage. Many people do not get to witness the playful side of bears, so when we do we should look on it as a great blessing. Your images are a great document of this lovely event, thank you for sharing.

Hi Evelynn!

This is a funny story-book! Sweet and tender, nature at its best expression. I'm very concerned by this series because it remembers me an oncle of mine who was a "ranger" (don't know the word in English for "person in charge of wild animals") and made a film with a lot of chamois sliding down a snowy slope.

I also appreciate the fact that you have put the pictures together to little story.

Kind regards

Markus

Hi Evelynn

What a splendid collage!!!
This really is a great presentation and i'm sure something really fun to watch :)
You were also a bit lucky to capture them on show...you couldn't have asked for a better contrast :)) This way they really stand out superbly.
It's also nice to see that the mom is a big fan of sliding :) ...i would have thought it would be the cub...
Anyway, a splendid post!

Good presentation of action in nature's wonderland. That must have been fun to see.

Wonderful presentation! The bears are far away from you but they are clearly seen. It is interesting to see how these big and dangerous animals are playing.

Hi Evelynn
This is hilarious! You were a good distance away to see the playful side of the infamous Grizzly and her cub. It's nice to see a light hearted image of these Grizzly.
