| GLACIER NATIONAL PARK - The Floral Park Traverse. This is the first of a series of images I'll post to try to share the beauty of one of the world's most amazing hikes. It took us just over 13 hours the first day and a few more to finish it up the second, but as these photos should show... it was worth every minute of it! This picture was taken just steps from the visitors' center at Logan Pass. It was about 6:30 in the morning, and the clouds were just forming behind Clements Mountain (to the west of the marker if you click on the MAP button for this image) here that would shortly bring a couple hours of steady rain. |

Hi Kelly,
I can't understand why nobody left a word behind. The view is wonderful. I love how the early light has illuminated to top of the mountain. The dark sky made it even more powerful and brought that moody feel to the photo. Your low POV with the alpine flowers leading the eye is perfect. I think I can even see a rainbow in the photo.
TFS,
Niek
