This is a photo taken in the Valley of Fire State Park. The Valley of Fire is Nevada's oldest and largest state park, covering 36,000 acres. The park is located 55 miles North of Las Vegas, just off Interstate 15. The park has a vast area of geological formations of red sandstone, limestone, and shale. The park is located in the Mojave Desert. Temperatures in winter ranges from freezing, to 75 degrees. In the summer, it can get over 120 degrees during the day. The park also contains some petrified trees, and 3000 year old petroglyphs from ancient tribes.

Now, this one looks like the American version of the Sphinx - only redder and more eroded than the original, but the outline of the shape is certainly there ;-))
Beautiful colours and good sharpness. I'd have wished for a bit more detail in the dark area under "the chin" ;-)

Belle composition dans les formes, quant aux couleurs, difficile d'avoir une saturation aussi naturelle.
Bravo

Hi Scot,
I see this is a petrified acient you are showing us here - they must have been stone giants or related to the Egiptians. Look at the nose sticking out just below the overhaning brow, Nice textures here, and POV
