Our surprise freeze only lasted about 48 hours but I managed to get a few photos to play with and hold me over till the next break in the gray and rain.
This is not a frozen waterfall, just ice built up one drop at a time from water seeping out of the rain forest soil during a very clear but cold break from the Oregon winter rains. |

Hello Evelynn, very nice capture of these ice formations. What I particularly like is the light in this shot and the composition is also good. Great work.
Nice catch Evelynn! What winter gifts will nature bring? Lovely composition nice depth of field and point of view. Perfect lighting! How long did it take for this ice formation to be created? Brrr I am cold just looking it! Have a good weekend!

Another great ice formation picture. I like the light on the ice, and the shapes of the formations. It is hard to imagine how long it would take for these formations to build to such proportions, yet you said that the freeze only lasted 48 hours. : 0
Weird. TFS. : )
