[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yesterday I posted North Falls and today I post South Falls. Between the two, along a 5 mile trail, are eight other falls. Last year, during a heavy freeze we were able to see them all. This year heavy autumn rains caused numerous slides which closed the central portion of the park. We could only visit both ends. Trails go behind many of the falls as can be seen in this photo. For an icy view from behind the falls that day, see the workshop photo I posted.

Hi Evelynn,
It's a cold and a beautiful winter scenery. Composition is very good, I liked the way you used the light.
Workshop version is amazing! wish you had uploaded that one not as a workshop, but as a normal post. TFS

Hi Evelynn,
WOW! that is a beautiful winter landscape scene. Well composed and framed. I like the footbridge in there for a nice sense of scale. Detail and depth look excellent.

The workshop photo is really cool! That is really some ice buildup

Hi Evelynn,
Although I perfer yesterdays, this is also a lovely posting. The composition and colors are excellent. I do think the behind the falls shot was worth its' own posting.

Hi Evelynn,
I'm amazed with your workshop!
It really not needs any further explanation about why is was partilly closed.
This is a gorgeous scene.
I like so much your POV to show us all the inner beauty of this place.
The slights green traces makes a remind that there is live underlaying.
The composition is really good, in my opinion.
Congratulations and thanks for share it with us.
My best regards,
JM

Wow, what a perfect wintry scene, Evelynn.
I remember Silver Falls. You took us there when we visited you.
A beautiful place in all seasons.
I like the composition very much. The water falling off to one side makes an interest impact to the "balance" of the picture.
I find the shot you published in Workshop fascinating.
TFS. : )

Lovely photo Evelynn! It would have been tempting to have gone farther up the trail to get a better view of the falls.

Hi Evelynn,
This one looks warmer than the North Falls due to the brownish and green hues. Amazing detail and excellent composition, as usual. I agree with SelenE about the workshop. Post it as a regular upload.
Have a great weekend,
Hakan

Hello Evelynn

I like the vertical look of the shot. The POV is very well chosen ,and you have a very nice balance.Excellent focus and sharpness of detail. There is so much to look at in the photo.I have been visiting this place visually .I like the way the path leads the eye to the bridge and across to the falls and up (and the imagination takes over) .To the river above where the trees part.Nicely framed by the snowy trees.TFS

Hello Evelynn,
A very interesting picture. I like the composition. The tall trees and in the middle the waterfall, the bridge which connect both sides of the brook, it is a good registration of the right perspectives. In spite of the cold, your picture breathes certainly a warm atmosphere. Well done,
Regards, Ruud

Hi Evelynn,
A really wonderful photo, with a kind of painting type look to it. This is probably of the color combination and the soft light. I do have to agree with Tim on your POV, a little further up the trail would have been nice. I am also not so sure about the lighter area just right of the falls. the evidence of the PP work to lighten the area is a bit too clearly visable.
Besides that the composition and view are spectacular.
TFS,
Niek

Hello again Evelynn,
Another great winter shot. Good contrast and color. The greens and browns really help distinguish this picture with all of the white show. Great composition as well. TFS!
