[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Delicate Arch has sheer natural beauty to thank for its notoriety. Easily the most famous formation in the entire park, Delicate Arch sits on a ridge between a giant pothole formation and a syncline canyon. This area is a favourite spot for photographers looking to capture the arch at sunset. There are two ways to view the arch. Most people do the 5 km return walk from Wolfe Ranch. Unfortunately I simply didn’t have time, so I walked up the much shorter Delicate Arch viewing track, which is only a few hundred metres from the car park. There are always plenty of tourists there, so getting a human-free shot is almost impossible. Here though I think the person adds context in term of scale. Arches NP is a magnificent place and somewhere you should try and get to if you can.

Hello Chris,
a wonderful landscape, indeed surprising the monochromatism of these rocks, very good sharpness in a nice composition.

Best regards

Gorgeous image Chris,
Love the vivid colors and fine detail you captured. The lighting is perfect as it allows us to see the fine lines and textures in the rock layers. Excellent work!!

Hi Chris again,
Beautiful rock formation, and from the direction of lights we see You tried something different than the usual hobby-photographers seen in the background. Although that angle may be wonderful, too.
Excellent exposure, colors and composition - of course it would be better not to have tourists in the background, but it was unavoidable, as You said. Plenty of details on the rock, color tone's awesome - a photo not to be missed. Bravo.
Cheers, László

My cousin lived and died not far from here..She was a painter...and that is exactly what this almost appears as...I have seen her work and you are spot on with the saturation..Very nice sun angle as well..Cheers!
