I didn't have to walk far to catch this one today..Only 50 feet from my front door stands this glorious maple tree which is already starting to show the slow changes in seasons...for the last 2 days the sun has left us and the cooler air signifies a coming!

Like the advance of old age, the Fall is upon us before we know it!
Here you have at least managed to capture a hint of it in this shot of abunch of maple leaves, the autumnal browns contrasting well with the rich mature green of late summer.
To me it's a sad time but there is beauty in it too.
TFS Bob,
all the best,
Ivan

Hello Bob,
Yes, time and life goes on. Autumn is coming. The message is in this photo. Beautiful are the drops on the leaves. It makes the photo a bit sad. But each season has it beauty.
Regards,
Peter

Hi Bob,

Yes - Welcome back to you as well as to the Goldfinch. It IS nice seeing you posting again. Not a sight I see here but I remember the changing colors of the leaves well from my lifetime back East. This is really very beautiful - I miss "real" leaves like these. Tomorrow is Labor Day - the symbolic end of summer. Perhaps it will be real up where you are but down here it will just be symbolic. I must remember - no white shoes after Labor Day.

Hello Bob,
Another reminder of what's to come our way in a few short months. Beautiful contrasting colors and great detail with perfect exposure!!
It's been getting colder at night quite frequently here and the mornings have been bringing very thick fog.
Ron

Hello Bob,
Summer passes far too quickly here and I don't particularly look forward to six cold months ahead but the colours of autumn are wonderful as you show here. A lovely composition showing lovely contrasts in colour and beautiful sharp details. Very well done!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

hello Bob

here in Montréal region maple leafs have still
their summer colour tones, you did a very beautiful
photo in Nature Morte style with the ones
with autumnal colour tones framed by the ones
with the summer colour tones, TFS

Hi Bob,

The green leaves are framing well the brown leaves. The close-up view is showing with precision the details and colors of the leaves. The intensity of the light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre
