[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a photo of a Butterfly ontop of a Flower near Cascade Pass, Washington State taken on September 1, 2007. I cropped this photo using the program paint and saving the photo as a bit map 24. Then I used Picasa 2 to change the quality to JPEG by using the export mode, and using custom 90 mode, which made this almost 200 kbs. It was nice to see butterflies at my favorite mountain.

Hi Joshua , I really like your mountain scenes but this is a nice change of pace too , good color and sharpness , I like the extra bee secreted under the flower.

regards

Art

HI Josh, good composition, good capture of both and butterfly, the colours are natural and well defined, slightly soft, but being sharp all the time does not make it a better image, I like this one...it has a natural and "honest" look. tfs regards h

Hallo Joshua
I have seen some of your landscape photos and enjoyed the scenes you have shared with us so far. Your image with the title "Butterfly at Cascade Pass" is great. You have surprised us with a 3 in 1 image. - 1.The butterfly is well displayed and the markings and patterns are shown well. The details of the one antenna's stripes is very clear, and even the black tip at the edge is clearly visible. 2. You have captured the white flowers beautifully, and fit well into the frame. The white displays brightly and not dull or burnt out like white sometimes tend to do or show. The details of the petals, yellow anthers and green stems are shown well. 3. Although it is not visible the little hairy insect on the left hand side is a bonus and rounds of this pretty image well. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

You got one!!!!! :-D
A really nice shot of this pretty butterfly.
The composition is very artistic.
Pretty sharp with great clarity.
Excellent exposure.
Is that a bee on the flower beneath the butterfly too? :-))
Very well done Josh!
Cheers mate,

Joe

p.s sorry I haven't been on gmail recently... will talk to you soon!

Great shot Josh.
Very good composition and nice colours. Did you notice the bee just to the left of the butterfly?
I just knew that there had to be a mountain nearby. Keep posting and have fun, your photos are a joy to view.
Ron

oooohhhhhh, good shot, good whites with the flowers and the the butterfly with it's darker colors really stands out, that bee is a bonus
