[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a photo of some Mountains that I took in a car, while travelling at about 60 miles an hour, on the way to Mount Rainier, Washignton on October 20, 2007. This was the beginning of fall, when the snow storms were on there way to greet the cascades and atlast be winter again. This photo was taken some were aroun Longmire which is the South Entrance to Mount Ranier, but not quite to Longmire. Unfortunatly the next day as we returned to this place, we got in a car accedent, thank goodness no one was hurt, but I coud'nt go hiking for a long time afterwards, because it took a long time of saving up money to fix the car, then it took more for gas to be able to go hiking again. This photo was originally over exposed, because I used auto mode which is easiest for taking car photos. The technique of fixing this one was once again using my most used program Picasa 2 to help fix the over exposure by using the graduated tint and also I sharpened this photo slightly because it was slightly blurry for a few reasons. First of all the lighting was ok, but we were going 60 miles an hour, plus I had no time to make sure it was in focus because trees (My #1 obsticle for car photos) were up ahead, and i wanted to get this one in time. A beautiful time it was.

Hi Joshua , another fine composition , considering the moving car , and tree obstacles ( I have had that experience too ;-). a nice scene with good colors , and the low clouds add a moody atmosphere.

a small camera suggestion for you though , when choosing an auto mode for such shots you may find that the sports action mode will work good too , I have often used that mode , not only for moving vehicle shots but for some bad lighting shots too. in sports action mode your camera will adjust settings for faster shutter speed , less likely to blur and over expose.
