[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
When I printed this photo out, I had to look twice to see which side was up and which was down because the reflections in the water came out so perfectly. I wasn't aiming for that, but I was thrilled just the same.

This is the Cinnamon Teal duck (the brightly colored male) that rose into the sky and tried to break up a pair by attempting to land between them in a crash dive. When that failed, he did locate another female that may have been impressed by his actions (or was that desperation?) and swam out to meet him. As you can see, she is no ugly duckling herself.

This couple was fun to watch because once this particular male found himself a mate, his entire body quivered with joy, his eyes sparkled, and his call was one of joy. Their call sounds like "chuck chuck" and it is soft. However, for this fellow, soft isn't the word I'd use.

His mate seemed just as pleased as they promenaded around the lake. I noticed nearly all the new couples did that and was reminded of a Prom king/queen, not to mention a parade of happy ducks. In fact, I nearly titled this 'just ducky' but ended up liking reflections of love much better.
