Without his coffee, he bumbles

While it's true I have a phobia of bees, Bumble bees (Bombus vosnesenskii) don't worry me as much. It seems we have something in common: without our morning coffee, neither of us can fly/walk a straight line. In fact, we both might get pulled over for suspicion of being under the influence.
I had to make sure he wasn't a drone fly, and fortunately, I got him upside down and was able to confirm this bee's indentity. If I am wrong, then this bee has committed the identity theft crime and should be punished, forced to go without nectar for a day...
Actually, his flight path amused me. He was trying to get to the yellow flowers, and frankly, I was pleased to catch him in flight. If he came a bit close, I backed away and he missed me by a bee-mile.
In the hot weather, the only thing I spotted buzzing about were mosquitoes and bees... |

Well done on this pic of the Bumble Bee in flight Kathy. It is hard enough to show one on a flower, but one in flight is a lot harder. Good job on it.
It looks a different type of BB from what we have here in NZ
