hi Bob, you and your Leica!! there is something special about the shots you do with that camera, they just seem to have an edge, the control of the colour and focus is perfection... I want a Leica!!!!!!!

Wonderful capture. Just enough separation between the rose & the background. Only I would have done different is to maybe get just a little closer in...Love the suble colors

I live such a sheltered life - I have never seen a Wild Rose. How beautiful - with such lovely colors and petal shapes. The deep green of the leaves set the flowers off so well. Very nice composition and a pretty picture.

Its the richly saturated colours that make this capture stand out for me...Focus is perfect as ever from hands from the pre image stabilisation era...A classic capture of a so overlooked part of hedgerows.

this is a photo that I can relate to,as here where I live the wild rose is common,common yes but still very beautiful.This photo is is a mark above most photos I have or have seen ,because of the unusual variegated look that this bloom has.The sharpness and details and above all the colur shine in this capture.Thank you for giving us all this view as it really shines!. Hi Bob

I came across a type of wild rose during my treking to a hill area in Uttarakhand state in India.That one is a combination of white with the yellow spots.This I found different and looking great.I can smell the aroma of this flower right now.

Oh Bob, I'd like one in my garden please. We have wild roses growing here in NZ too, but they are no where near here. Maybe next summer I will go look for some.

It is so good seeing this wild rose, and what an unusual colour it is too. I've NEVER seen a cultivated one with such odd patterns. Very pretty and the bush certainly looks very proliferate
