[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Syrphidae seem to love the Dahlias. This was taken near Seattle in the Pacific Northwest of the USA. The Dahlias are fantastically beautiful without the pollen gatherers but together there is beautiful harmony. Isn't this why we love nature? For me yes.

Hello Mark,
Welcome on TN with this nice photo of a syrphidae, very sharp, with beautiful colors. I wish you to enjoy this site which is a nice community to share nature shots and to improve our skills and knowledge about species. May I suggest you to post larger shots (> 800)? Specially with insects... A note is also welcome to explain something about the species and/or the photo. Best regards,
Catherine

Hi Mark
Good shot with good detail and the Syrphidae and a nice blurred background which makes it stand out nicely against some similar colors on the flower.
