[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I believe this is a Virescent Green Metallic Bee (Agapostemon virescens) from the Halictid Family. This was taken in the Pacific Northwest of the USA near Seattle. I hope someone can confirm this identification.

Hi Mark,
This is a good shot of the bee (what ever variety it is) and I love the way one of the petals is curving away up the top. Excellent focus and composition.
I have had a lot to do with bees of the Italian species recently while trying to remove a swarm who have been living between the brick outer wall and the plaster internal wall of my house. (in Australia) They look totally different to this one so I can confidently say it is NOT an Italian Bee.

Verry interesting bee.I never seen another like this.Good clarity and colours of picture.Best regards.Alin.
