Hello Evelynn
A beautiful capture - it has the wonderful 'liquid' light of late evenings. The colours, reflections and balance of the elements are superb.
Best wishes

Hi Evelynn, so nice to see you back!
I think the brightness is about alright, maybe I would've made it a little bit darker but then some details would be gone..
Colors are smooth and it really is magic.. I'm too trying to make a decent hdr landscape but with no good result yet. This one's wonderful for sure, TFS!
Best regards,
Andor

Hi Evelynn,
Good to see some of your photographic quality again. Pleasant scene made more so by the excellent lighting captured with good composition and those clouds are just great.
Robin
Hi again Evelynn
Even if it's been a while, you still got it ;) It looks ok on my screen and the image itself is a beauty!
With this wide view, i better understand the conditions of the previous and i'm sure what you saw with your own eyes - both the entire scene and the elks, AT THE SAME TIME - had to be something fantastic.
The colors and cloud formations are lovely and look great reflecting in the pond. The mountains in the BG also add a lot to the composition and you managed to get excellent details from them, too. Personally, i might have cropped out the dark part from the right side and would have kept the frame near that high peak in the distance. It's think that the dark part is a bit distracting and that would have also placed that taller, lonely tree closer to 1/3 of the frame. But don't worry too much...that's probably only my personal view point and might not work for everyone :)
Anyway, it's a lovely panorama and i'm looking forward to see some more super shots like this from you.
Bravo and TFS
Horia

Hello "The Lady"
I am so glad to see you post a landscape again. I think Horia, Paul, you and I are all on the same page that TN became too much of a TI or TB (insect and bird) Although I have two photos waiting to be posted that suit the TB criteria. Hey, can I get some attention as well? :)
Back to the real world. This is certainly not your typical Yellowstone landscape photo. But it certainly shows the diversity the park has to offer. The colors in the sky and reflection are wonderful and as Horia mentioned the details in the distant mountains add a lot. I do agree with Horia on the dark right and position of the tree.
Do you mean that this is a stitch or is it a merge of different exposures?
TFS,
Niek

Hi Eveylnn,
let me reassure you that this looks just fine :o) The colours are just gorgeous and the wide open feel of this is lovely. I yearn for such a feel of wilderness! I would agree with Horia about the dark patch on the right, but i don't think it's too much of an issue.
I wonder, did you get anymore shots that show more of the lakes itself? It's just that it looks tantalisingly like it would have been filled with colour and the reeds sticking out intrigue me..
tfs, hope to see more soon!
Paul
(don't worry about the rate of posting, the fact that you are sharing some again at all is enough for me :o)

Wow, the light is pure magic.
Just amazing.
You have such a way with those grand vistas!
And yet you have a way of making them feel so intimate.
I just LOVE the reflections!
TFS. : )
