Hi Rick,

You were so close yet so far away. Remember, the hummingbirds showed up in full force in September this year. This Antelope Ground Squirrel is wonderful and in a great pose. I especially love his face, whiskers and little feet. The tail and fur are wonderful too. Excellent details throughout and lovely southwestern colors. I hope this isn't the little rascal building a nest under what I'm not allowed to mention. Can't imagine where he got an apple but your secret is safe with me. Bribery gets you everywhere. Great shot Rick.

Okay, that's it...my squirrels are learning from your squirrels. I lacked peanuts the other day and had a pine cone lopped at me - not fun because it hit the mark!

This squirrel has a determined stride, the look on his face says feed me now, and the dof is fantastic. I love this effect because it's funny, serious, and you can't help but love these odd, humorous critters.

A fit and fine squi....i love this macho look here and yes, you got the right title on...Rick...superb PoV that brings up the posture of the squi in best manner and the colours here seem to make the squi merge with its surroundings....fantastic work...

You got this image just right -- focus, sharpness, colors and all else.
The little guy standing on the rock is made to look like an actor on stage by that wonderful OOF background.

Hi Rick,
This is indeed a lovely close up of a cute Ground Squirrel from a nice and low frontolateral POV, displaying the pattern and colouration characteristics of the individual rather nicely. Its stance is something else, with that curious look in its huge eye. I tried a slightly different colour scheme, hope it won't be too offensive for you my friend.

I had to do a double take on this little Ground Squirrel....there aren't any around here....then I read your notes and it all made sense. I've never seen or heard of the Antelope Ground Squirrel. He's a little cutie. Excellent portrait of him standing on his haunches.

Wow this brings back some memories, my wife and I took a helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon a couple of years ago, when we landed the chopper pilot attracted these guys with some nuts, they would come up to you and take it from you hand, even managed to get some shot :) excellent photo, great title, superb memoires, t.f.s
