This is the Mendenhall glacier, outside Juneau, the capital of Alaska. In this area also grows rain forests. The day (and all days I spent in Alaska) was very cloudy and misty.

Brrrr..... looks very cold. I like the aqua highlights in the glacier. Shame it is not a closer view. Thanks.

Hi Monica, lovely composition, it certainly does justice to the location, looks freezing! Nice, moody shot, I like it :) TFS

HI Monica.. I like the glacier with the forest landscape. The misty mood gives it a very chilly feel! I really enjoyed my time in Alaska and will be posting more photos of my trip soon! I look forward to seeing more of your Alaska photos! Nicely done!

Cloudy and misty - Looks cold: I hope you had enough clothing! I thought it would be sunny and hot up there this time of year. Very interesting seeing the glacier, I have seen one in NZ but not right next to the sea. Well done.
